Men Interclub
Hi Team, As most of you probably know, this weekend was big for Tennis (at least for the non Swedes. Sorry, Jonas, Erik, Mathias). We won 8-1. Essentially, with we crushed the guys from Pettite Fontaine. They really are small fountains! ha ha ha. Congrats to all that played. A tough doubles match for John and Olivier, but they put in a gallant effort. 7-6 in the 3rd set tie-break, all while the Lasagna was waiting. Pascal and I got a little lucky. After losing 5-2 with my stupid Babolat racket, I switched back to my Head Prestige and we won 7-6 in the first set. Their #1 got scared of Pascal, so they threw in the towel and quite after our comeback. The Juniors kicked butt as always. -Nicolas played particularly well serve and volley against their team captain. Well done! -Albi gave his normal "slow motion instructional video." -Jonas smashed the same guy who quit the doubles against Pascal and I. -Vincent fought through a tough 2nd set loss to win in 3. -John got his form back. After crying and screaming and smacking the ground in agony, his opponant self destructed and lost the 2nd set 6-1. -Tom fought real tough. His opponant was serving for the 2nd set, and Tom managed to break then hold for a tough 7-5 win Well done team!!!! Our next match is against TC Neyruz. As Erik puts it, they are located in the Boonies somewhere in Fribourg. It looks like the match will be on Saturday. It is away for sure. I will confirm back to you shortly the roster and the time. One more win to go!!
