Joto is a community as well as a tennis school founded by two friends, Jonas Svensson and Tore Meinecke (hence the name Joto.)

Both men were friends and players on the professional circuit in the 80s and 90s. Tore summoned Jonas while he was still a Sweden resident to join him in Geneva in order to create a very specific type of tennis school. The concept was first developed on the courts of the Geneva Club, but unfortunately it could not expand in the way they had wished. They then decided to create a club on their own.

Tore’s wife, Celine Cohen Meinecke, also a former professional player, supports and encourages them in their project to attain their objectives.

The tennis school today, operates on the courts of the Chavannes de Bogis Best Western Hotel and a covered infrastructure was completed in November 2005 enabling the school to function all year long.

Club players from a very young age, Tore and Jonas took it upon themselves to develop the Chavannes de Bogis Club so it could become the home of many excellent and happy players who will share their passion and rewards of the magnificent sport of tennis.
